This typewriter is such a child of a seventies. Between the slightly awkward tan color and the font used for the Smith-Corona logo, this is one groovy desk ornament.

This is also one heavy-duty typewriter! The body of the machine is painted metal, aside from the plastic keys and key surrounds. It is an electric typewriter, with a mechanism that assists in the movement of the keys, making the typing effortless. Aside from slight wear due to normal wear and tear, this typewriter is in great shape.

The Coronamatic is a cartridge-style typewriter, meaning that the ribbon is housed in a cartridge on the right side of the machine, rather than being wound between two spools.

Prior to becoming your new best friend, this typewriter was thoroughly cleaned and oiled, and given a new ribbon cartridge. It will arrive housed in its sturdy dark brown plastic case, along with a handy little booklet with instructions on the care and keeping of typewriters.
